Saweg ("we", "our", or "us") is a bilingual freight marketplace that connects shippers and freight providers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
When you register for a Saweg account we collect your full name, phone number, email address, and a hashed password. We also collect your device's location while the app is in use in order to display maps and to match shippers with nearby freight providers. Additionally we collect basic usage data (such as feature interactions and error reports) to help us improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your account data to authenticate you and manage your account. We use your location to power the map view and the shipper-provider matching feature. We use your contact details to send you shipment-related push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). We use anonymised usage data to analyse and improve the app. We do not use your information to show you advertisements.
3. Push Notifications
We send push notifications related to your shipments (for example, new offers, status updates, and confirmations) using Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services to operate Saweg:
- Firebase (Google) — push notifications and analytics
- Cloudinary — image uploads and storage
- Google Maps — map display and location services
Each of these services has its own privacy policy and data practices. We encourage you to review them.
5. Data Storage
Your data is stored on servers hosted on Railway. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To delete your account and all associated data, go to your profile settings inside the app and select "Delete Account". You may also contact us at the email address below to exercise any of your data rights.
7. Who Can Use Saweg
Saweg is intended for adults aged 18 and over, including individual shippers and businesses operating in the freight and logistics sector.
8. Advertising
Saweg does not display advertisements and does not share your personal data with advertising networks.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
